Planning your dream wedding? As a seasoned wedding celebrant, I’m here to guide you through every step. These insider tips ensure you’re organized, on track, and ready to say “I do” with confidence. So you can celebrate your wedding day in style and without stress!
Dress and Suit Shopping Tips.
Begin your search for the perfect attire after securing your venue. Order your dress at least 9 months in advance to allow time for fittings and alterations. Schedule suit shopping around the 5-month mark. Did you know there are some suppliers who will come and steam your wedding dress on the morning of your wedding day
Remember To wear the shoes etc. that you’ll be wearing on the day when you try on dresses and suits.
To put someone in charge of returning rentals after your wedding day.
DIY Decor: Personal Touches Without the Stress.
DIY elements can add a personal flair to your wedding. Focus on projects that can be completed well in advance, like welcome bags or photo displays. For day-of essentials like food and flowers, consider hiring professionals to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Remember don’t overdue things so the workload becomes a burden. Enlist the help of bridesmaids or friends to help.
Guest List and Family Dynamics.
Your guest list should reflect your closest relationships. Don’t feel obligated to invite distant relatives if you’re not close. If family offers assistance, set clear boundaries to avoid added stress.
Remember – If your parents or relatives decide to help pay for aspects of the wedding this is a gift and shouldn’t come with conditions attached.
			Make Time for Loved Ones.
Set aside moments to connect with out-of-town guests. Consider hosting a pre-wedding gathering or a post-wedding brunch to spend quality time together.
Remember – In the middle of wedding planning make time for each other where wedding planning talk is firmly off the agenda.
Avoid Last-Minute Skin Marks.
On your wedding day, avoid wearing items that could leave marks on your skin, such as tight socks, bras, or wristbands.
Remember to remove your smartwatch to prevent tan lines or impressions. You could also wear a different style of watch which covers any tan lines, or of course cover with fake tan.
Remind everyone that mobile phones don’t look great in hands or pockets when the photographer is getting those beautiful wedding day photos.
Consider a wedding host/MC.
Hiring a wedding host/MC for all or even part of your day means you can truly relax knowing your day will run seamlessly to schedule and your guests will be looked after. Find out more about how this can transform your wedding day here
